Let’s discover the story behind the pages together!
Booksprint Q1: What inspired you to write this book?
Emilian-Teodor Rotaru: I could offer many answers to this question… and yet, if I had to choose just one that encompasses them all, it would be the power of a dream. I’ve always enjoyed putting my most intimate thoughts on paper. At first, these were just for me, but gradually, I felt the desire to share them with the public. Ever since childhood, I dreamed of the day when people I don’t know would hold one of my creations in their hands, a product of my imagination. And now, that dream has become a reality.
Booksprint Q2: How has writing influenced your daily life, and what impact do you believe your book can have on readers?
Emilian-Teodor Rotaru: I’ve experienced both sides of myself—both when I write actively and when writing takes a backseat—and I can confidently say that the former is much more beneficial to me. Why? Because through writing, I express the full range of emotions that accumulate in my soul, whether positive or negative. This emotional release recharges me with energy, which I then pour into my words. Writing helps me stay balanced, offering me support during tough times and anchoring me in moments of calm.
As for the impact on readers, I believe this book has a positive effect. It’s a quick read, has a captivating atmosphere, and beyond the storyline, it includes a spiritual dimension, offering reflections and lessons inspired by my own experience. This combination of journal, philosophy, and adventure, I believe, works very well.
Booksprint Q3: What was the biggest challenge in the publishing process, and how did you overcome it?
Emilian-Teodor Rotaru: The biggest challenges were structuring the material to meet printing standards and designing the cover. Both processes were challenging but also extremely enjoyable, especially thanks to the Booksprint team, who supported me whenever I needed help.
Booksprint Q4: What strategy did you use to promote your book after printing?
Emilian-Teodor Rotaru: Although I promoted the book through word-of-mouth, especially among acquaintances—because, ultimately, direct and authentic communication remains essential—I primarily focused on online promotion. I used social media, both through paid campaigns and organic methods, to reach as many readers as possible.
Booksprint Q5: Why did you choose to publish independently, and how was your experience with this publishing method?
Emilian-Teodor Rotaru: I chose independent publishing because it gave me the freedom to express my ideas and values in my own style, without making artistic or editorial compromises. This allowed me to maintain my authentic voice and have full control over the creative process. The experience was positive: fast, efficient, and hassle-free—exactly what I wanted. If I had to start over, I would make the same choice without hesitation.
Booksprint Q6: Would you recommend independent publishing to other aspiring authors? Why?
Emilian-Teodor Rotaru: The correct answer to this question is: it depends. It depends on what each author wants, their goals, and their long-term vision. If autonomy and authenticity are priorities, then independent publishing might be the best choice for a literary debut.
Booksprint Q7: What advice would you give to writers who want to see their book in print but don’t know where to start?
Emilian-Teodor Rotaru: If you’ve finished your manuscript and you’re proud of it, remember that this is just the first step. Now, think carefully about what you want to achieve. If, like me, you want to have full control over your own words, do thorough research before choosing a publisher or publishing service. Look for professionals who respect and value your work—just as the Booksprint team made me feel from the start. Don’t compromise when it comes to your creation. Make informed decisions and trust the process. Best of luck!
